Post to social media from Claude Code. One command, fifteen networks.
Add Breakreach's hosted MCP server with one command, sign in with /mcp, and Claude Code can publish and schedule on Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, X, YouTube and 10 more networks, answer comments and DMs, and read your numbers. It writes the post from your repo (the changelog, the blog post, the release notes) and schedules it in the same session.
Then run /mcp in Claude Code and sign in to Breakreach.

Add Breakreach to Claude CodeSign in with OAuth, or pass an API key.
Sign in with OAuth
RecommendedNothing to copy but the command. Claude Code registers itself with Breakreach, opens your browser to sign in, and keeps the token fresh.
- 1Add the server
This adds it to the current project (the local scope). Add
--scope userto have it in every project, or--scope projectto write it to.mcp.jsonfor your team, where each person signs in with their own account. - 2Sign in
Start Claude Code and run
/mcp. Pick breakreach, choose Authenticate, and allow access in the browser tab that opens. Access tokens last 30 days and refresh on their own. - 3Connect your social accounts
Connect Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn and the rest once in Breakreach (Settings, Accounts). Or ask the agent for a link:
create_connect_linkreturns a page where you, or a client, connect accounts without a Breakreach login.
Use an API key
For claude -p in CI, a server, or a machine where nobody can click through a browser sign-in.
- 1Create an API key
In Breakreach, open Settings, API & MCP and create a key. It starts with
br_and reaches every workspace you're a member of. Keep it out of files you commit. - 2Add the server with the header
Your shell fills in the key when you run the command, and Claude Code saves it in
~/.claude.json, outside the repo. - 3Or share it in .mcp.json
Claude Code expands
${BREAKREACH_API_KEY}from each person's environment, so this file can be committed without the key in it.
Check it works. claude mcp list should show breakreach as connected, and /mcp in a session lists its 29 tools.

Why post from Claude Code? The source of the post is already in your repo.
A launch post is a summary of something that already exists as text: the changelog entry, the release notes, the blog post in content/, the pricing page. Claude Code reads it, writes the post for each network, and schedules it without you copying anything into a scheduler. The facts stay right because they come from the file that shipped.
- Release notes to launch posts“Announce v2.4 from CHANGELOG.md on X and LinkedIn, tomorrow 9 AM.” One request, a post per network.
- A blog post to a week of posts“Turn content/blog/morning-light.mdx into three posts and put them in my next free slots.” Each lands in your posting schedule.
- Numbers into a file“How did September go? Write it to reports/september.md.” The analytics tools return the data, Claude Code writes the report.
- Comments while a build runs“Any questions in today's comments? Draft answers, I'll approve them.”
Will Claude Code post without asking? Not unless you let it.
Claude Code asks before it calls an MCP tool, and shows the arguments: the text, the accounts, the time. You approve once, or allow a tool for the rest of the project. A sensible split is to allow the reading tools (list_accounts, list_posts, get_content_performance) and keep create_post, reply_to_comment and send_message on ask.
For a second pair of eyes, ask for a draft: “save it as a draft” sends draft: true, and the post waits in Breakreach until someone schedules it there. Breakreach also never deletes a post from the network itself: delete_post removes it from Breakreach only.
Can I run it in CI with claude -p?Yes, with an API key and the tools allowed up front.
In print mode there is nobody to approve a tool call, so list the tools Claude Code may use. MCP tools are named mcp__breakreach__<tool>, and mcp__breakreach alone allows every tool of the server. Load the server from a file with --mcp-config so the job doesn't depend on a local setup, and pass the key as a secret.
.claude/breakreach.json holds the same mcpServers object as the .mcp.json above, with ${BREAKREACH_API_KEY} read from the job's secrets. Scheduled posts publish from Breakreach's servers, so the job can end as soon as the call returns.
Can Claude Code post an image from my repo?Through a public URL.
The MCP server takes media as public URLs, not files from your disk. Point Claude Code at a URL that already works: the image on your deployed site, a CDN, a bucket. upload_media copies it to Breakreach's storage, so a scheduled post still finds it after a deploy or an expiring signed link. Uploading a local file through the server isn't supported yet.
Instagram, TikTok, YouTube and Pinterest need a photo or a video; X, LinkedIn, Threads, Facebook, Bluesky, Reddit, Telegram, Discord, Slack, Mastodon and WordPress also take text alone. The posting API page lists what each network takes.
What does it cost?
Creating a Breakreach account and connecting your first social account is free. Scheduling and publishing need a plan, from $29 a month ($23 billed yearly) for 5 accounts, or the Developer plan at $5 per connected account. Signed in with OAuth before you subscribe, the reading tools work and the publishing ones answer with a link to the plans. An API key needs an active plan or trial, and answers 402 otherwise. Claude Code's own plan is separate.
