Reddit MCP servers in 2026.Most read. A few post, with flair.

Reddit has no official MCP server for its data: its own devvit-mcp helps write Devvit apps and doesn't read or post. Most Reddit MCP servers read threads and search; some that ran without credentials now get blocked, since Reddit requires OAuth. To post to a subreddit from Claude or ChatGPT, you need a server on Reddit's API with your account authorized: one you run with your own Reddit app, which Reddit now has to approve, or a hosted connector like Breakreach.

Flair by name: if it doesn't match, the error lists the flairs the subreddit offers, so the assistant can fix the post

When to pick something else. Breakreach doesn't post video or native image posts (an image goes out as a link), and doesn't read or answer comments yet. For replies, jordanburke/reddit-mcp-server does it with your own approved Reddit app.

karanb192/reddit-mcp-buddy, the most-starred Reddit MCP server, browses public feeds without keys and searches with your own Reddit app. Several servers that read without any credentials now hit errors: Reddit's Data API wiki says traffic not using OAuth or login credentials is blocked.

Posters with your own Reddit app

jordanburke/reddit-mcp-server and Arindam200/reddit-mcp post, reply and set flair with your own app's client id and secret, plus your username and password for writes. Reddit's Responsible Builder Policy now requires approval before an app accesses Reddit data.

Not for Reddit's data. Reddit publishes devvit-mcp, which helps developers write apps on its Devvit platform; it doesn't read or post to Reddit.
