X post generator.Five posts or a thread, counted the way X counts.
Describe your idea and pick five posts or a thread: Claude writes 5 X posts from different angles, or a thread of 3 to 6, and counts each one the way X does against 280 characters, with links at 23 and emoji at 2. Each shows as a real post. Free, no sign-up.

How to write an X post with AI
- Describe the idea, with the detailsThe news, the offer or the thought, with what only you know: a name, a price, a place. The generator only uses what you give it, so the posts are as specific as your description.
- Pick five posts or a threadFive posts take five angles on the same idea. A thread splits it into 3 to 6 posts, one point each, as many as your description has points.
- Read each one as a postClick a result to see it as X shows it. The count under each one is X's own: if it says 280 or less, X takes it.
- Copy one, or schedule itPick the post you'd write yourself. Copy it, or send it to Breakreach to publish at the time you choose.
How X counts your 280 charactersNot every character counts as one.
| What you type | Counts as | Source |
|---|---|---|
| Letters, digits and punctuation in Latin scripts | 1 each | X developer docs |
| An emoji, skin tone and combined emoji included | 2 | X developer docs |
| Chinese, Japanese and Korean characters | 2 each | X developer docs |
| A link, however long | 23 | X developer docs |
| Photos, GIFs and videos | 0 | X developer docs |
| "Bold" or "italic" Unicode letters | 2 each | twitter-text config |
So a post can look short and still be over. 260 letters, a link and two emoji count 287 on X, and X won't post it. The generator aims under 260 for that reason, and the counter under each result shows the real number.
Tweet ideas: five angles on one idea
Tweets are called posts since Twitter became X, and the craft hasn't changed: one idea, said a few different ways, and you keep the one that sounds like you. The five posts above each take an angle:
- The news, plainly"Takeaway coffee at our Lyon café is now in compostable cups, same price as always." What happened, first.
- One concrete detail"If you've got your own, we knock 30 cents off." The detail people can use.
- An opinion"Honestly kind of mad it took us this long." A take, so people have something to agree or argue with.
- A question"What would actually make you remember to bring your cup?" Something people can answer from their own life.
- A one-liner"Compostable cups, same price, 30 cents cheaper if you bring your own." The whole thing in one breath.
Picked your post? Put it on the calendar. Breakreach publishes your X posts at the time you pick, with photos or a video, from a calendar or straight from ChatGPT and Claude, along with the same idea for LinkedIn, Threads and nine more networks.
Schedule this X postTurn an idea into an X thread
Pick A thread and the generator splits your idea into 3 to 6 posts: the first says what the thread is about and stands alone, because it's often the only one people see; each next post makes one point from your description; the last sums up or asks a question. No "1/5" numbering, which X doesn't need.
To post it, write the first post in X's composer, add each next one with the plus icon, then post them all at once (X Help). Breakreach schedules single X posts, not threads: for a thread, X's own composer is the way.
How many hashtags should an X post have?
X's help center advises no more than two per post (X Help). The generator uses one at most, often none. If you add one, X also suggests capitalizing each word (#LyonCoffee), so screen readers read it as words rather than a string of letters.
Longer posts with X Premium
Premium subscribers can write posts of up to 25,000 characters, with bold and italic, and X's help page says longer posts can't be scheduled yet (X Help). The generator writes for 280, so every post fits any account and can be scheduled.
AI-written posts and X's rules
We found no X rule about posts written with AI as such. What X's automation rules do forbid is posting duplicate or substantially similar posts, on one account or several (X Help). The five results are variations of one idea: pick one, rather than posting them all or the same one from several accounts.
And read the post before you publish it. The generator is told to use only your facts, but you're the one who knows them.
Questions, answered.
About the x post generator and what it writes.
Yes, with no sign-up. It runs a dozen times an hour for free.
Claude, from Anthropic. It writes 5 posts or a thread per run and is told to use only the facts you give it.
Yes. X calls them posts since Twitter was renamed X in 2023. The generator writes the same thing whichever word you use.
No. It writes real posts to publish on X, shown in a preview so you can see how they'll read.
280 on a free account, counted by X's rules: emoji and Chinese, Japanese or Korean characters count 2, links count 23. Premium subscribers can post up to 25,000.
Not yet: Breakreach schedules single X posts, with photos or a video. Post threads from X's own composer.
Yes. Describe your idea in the language you post in. In Chinese, Japanese or Korean, each character counts 2, and the counter shows it.
