How to use the AI social media post generator
- Describe the idea onceThe news, the offer or the lesson, with the details only you know: a name, a date, a number, a place. The posts can only be as specific as the idea.
- Pick a toneFriendly, professional, funny, bold or inspiring. Each network still gets its own register on top of it.
- Read each version in its previewClick a network to see its post as it will look there, with its length against the network's limit.
- Copy, or schedule them allCopy one post, or send them to Breakreach to publish each on its network at the same time.
One idea, six versions: what changes per network
The same announcement doesn't read the same way everywhere. The generator rewrites it for each network instead of cutting one text down:
- XOne idea in under 280 characters, no thread. The point comes first. For five versions or a thread, use the X post generator.
- LinkedInA first line that earns the "see more", short paragraphs, a question or a takeaway at the end, three hashtags at most.
- ThreadsConversational, like talking to people who already follow you, with a hashtag at most. The Threads post generator writes three, each with a topic tag.
- BlueskyShort and direct, kept under 280 characters to stay clear of the 300 limit.
- InstagramA hook on the first line, which is all that shows before "more", short lines, a call to action, and a few hashtags at the end.
- FacebookTwo to four conversational sentences and a question that invites comments.
Post length limits by networkFrom each network's own documentation.
| Network | Limit | Source |
|---|---|---|
| X | 280 characters (Premium: longer posts) | X developer docs |
| 3,000 characters | LinkedIn Help | |
| Threads | 500 characters | Threads API docs |
| Bluesky | 300 characters (graphemes) | Bluesky's post schema |
| 2,200 characters, 5 hashtags | Instagram API reference, Instagram Help | |
| No limit we could verify | Meta doesn't publish one for posts |
Six posts written. Schedule them all at once. Breakreach publishes each version to its network at the time you pick, from one calendar, or straight from ChatGPT and Claude: ask for the posts and they're scheduled.
Schedule these postsHow X and Bluesky count characters
X doesn't count every character the same: emoji and characters from Chinese, Japanese or Korean count as two, and every link counts as 23 whatever its length (X developer docs). Bluesky counts graphemes, what you see as one character, so an emoji counts as one there (Bluesky's post schema).
That's why the generator aims well under both limits, and why the count next to each post is the network's own: X's weights, Bluesky's graphemes, and emoji in bytes for Threads. A post that fits at 270 letters can still go over on X once it has two emoji and a link.

Claude, from Anthropic. It writes six versions from your idea, one per network, and is told to stick to the facts you give it. Read each one before you publish.
The caption generator writes 3 options for one network. The post generator turns one idea into a post for six networks at once, each adapted and counted against its own limit.
No, it writes the text. For the image, the size guides give every network's dimensions with a free resizer.
Yes, with Breakreach: each version goes to its network at the time you pick, from the calendar or from ChatGPT and Claude.
Yes. Describe your idea in the language you post in, and the posts come back in it.
You can, and with the Breakreach connector ChatGPT can schedule them too. This page saves the prompt: it knows each network's limits and habits, and shows the result in a real preview.
